STI – Salaverry Terminal Internacional – Peru
Tucumann Engenharia executed work in the modernization and development project of the terminal in four contracts. The project comprised the construction of a series of seaport buildings and land structures that will provide physical and logistical support to the operation of the terminal.
All the construction works employed BIM (Building Information Modeling) in their planning, which allowed us to visualize multi-disciplinary incompatibilities before the construction works began, thus avoiding expenses and optimizing time.
Tucumann. which was in charge of building Piers 1 and 2, as well as the corn and wheat silos, the general warehouses (for soy beans, fertilizers and ore) and the rehabilitation of the sugar warehouse, provided the project with services of paving and building, along with the construction of both water and electrical systems.
Tucumann was also responsible for the construction of the cargo loading and unloading tunnel, for the storage plates (coal, soy bean surplus, and fertilizer) and for the Communications, Control and Instrumentation systems.
STI is an all-purpose seaport that services several types of cargo, such as solid grains, liquids, fractioned, cruisers and container carriers, with solid grains being the greatest volume.
