TCP – Paranaguá Container Terminal
Tucumann Engenharia carried out the modernization works of berths 214 and 215, the construction of berth 216 and the retro area of the Paranaguá Container Terminal, totaling 1,100m of berth and 500,000m2 of retro area. In addition, it developed the projects of the bonded warehouses for the operation of fractional cargoes of TCP and different contracts.
The first project concerning the Bonded Warehouse was customized for the end activity (without internal pillars) in order to make the operation more flexible. The floor was designed in concrete with incorporation of fiber and severe control of flatness, self-supporting tiles, automated docks and cold room for sanitary inspection.
Tucumann Engenharia also participated in the construction and expansion projects of the Paranaguá Container Terminal – TCP, with the construction of berths 217, 218 and retro area of berth 217, providing dredging, rockfill, hydraulic landfill, earthworks, drainage, steel fiber concrete paving, quay recovery, construction of 235m of quay and 4 dolphins, in addition to the construction of 180,000m2 of retro area with more than 8,000 centrifuged concrete piles.
In another larger contract, Tucumann Engenharia worked in the bonded area in its second project in a short delivery time, performing all the relevant services in 8 months of work, 7 days ahead of the contractual deadline. The project included all the dismantling and construction works of the new 10,000.00 m2 Bonded Warehouse with the port’s cargo handling area in full operation.
In addition to the 350,000 kg of metal structure, the major point of attention of this project was the zero-defect reinforced concrete floor (required for forklift performances with automaton movements).
Tucumann Engenharia met the terminal’s various needs with technical, strategic and operational excellence, ensuring positive results and a lasting relationship.
