STI – Salaverry International Terminal – PE

Tucumann Engenharia executed the works of the Terminal modernization and development project in 4 contracts. The project consisted of the construction of a set of port civil works and land structures that will serve as physical and logistical support for the Terminal’s operation.

All the works used BIM (Building Information Modeling) in the planning, which allowed us to visualize multidisciplinary incompatibilities before the start of the works, avoiding expenses and optimizing time.

Responsible for the construction works of Piers 1 and 2, corn and wheat silos, general warehouses (soy, fertilizers and minerals) and rehabilitation of the sugar warehouse, Tucumann met the project with paving and building services, along with the construction of electrical and water systems.

Tucumann was also responsible for the construction of the loading and unloading tunnel, the storage slabs (coal, surplus soya and fertilizer) and the Communications, Control and Instrumentation systems.

STI is a multipurpose port that caters for various types of cargo, such as dry bulk, liquid, break-bulk, cruise ships and containers, with dry bulk being the largest volume.
